A Minute Of Reading: Bitter End and Stay

Bitter End
By: Jennifer Brown
When Alex falls for the charming new boy at school, Cole -- a handsome, funny, sports star who adores her -- she can't believe she's finally found her soul mate . . . someone who truly loves and understands her.

At first, Alex is blissfully happy. Sure, Cole seems a little jealous of her relationship with her close friend Zack, but what guy would want his girlfriend spending all her time with another boy? As the months pass, though, Alex can no longer ignore Cole's small put-downs, pinches, or increasingly violent threats.

As Alex struggles to come to terms with the sweet boyfriend she fell in love with and the boyfriend whose "love" she no longer recognizes, she is forced to choose -- between her "true love" and herself

Stay
By: Deb Caletti
Clara's relationship with Christian is intense from the start, and like nothing she’s ever experienced before. But what starts as devotion quickly becomes obsession, and it's almost too late before Clara realizes how far gone Christian is and what he's willing to do to make her stay.
Now Clara has left the city and Christian behind. No one back home has any idea where she is, but she still struggles to shake off her fear. She knows Christian won't let her go that easily, and that no matter how far she runs, it may not be far enough...

My Review
Bitter End was the first one I read and i got to say that it really made a great impact on me, I'm used to reading High School Romances and stuff but I had never read something so intense in a high school relationship.  When Alex first met Cole, the new student at her school, she couldn't help but like him, I mean I would have liked him too, he was perfect; Hot, Funny, Athletic and He liked her too, what else could a girl ask for? Until it happen. A new side of Cole comes out to light, one that she definitely doesn't like at all. This Cole is cold, mean, cruel,  jealous, and even violent.
I think we can relate about the fact that we think that an abusive relationship could never happen to us, or that if some day it does happen we would be able to handle it and deal with it in all the right ways; but truth to be told we would never know until it actually happens. I think that Mrs. Brown did a wonderful job writing about what it is like to fall in love with a abusive guy. There were many times that Alex really annoyed me, the fact that she led her best friends down so many times because of Cole or the fact that she dint leave him the first time he actually hit her, or the second, or third time for the matter. There were many times that I wanted to close the book and just trow it at the wall, since I couldn't believe how stupid she could be, but I guess I don't know what would I would have done eater if I ever found my self in that kind if situation.
The one character I really hated in this book (after Cole) was Alex's father. I understand that he was really depressed because of what had happened to him with his wife, but life goes on and he had to learn how to live it, not only for him but for his three daughters, that really needed him.  In fact I think that what happened to Alex had one good outcome and that is that her father finally tried to actually talk to her and tried to act like a father would.
This was a good book but not my favorite, I give this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Let us talk about my second review; Stay. I just finish reading this book last night, and I got to say
when i first read the summary of the book I really hesitated to actually read it since i thought it was going to be a lot like
Bitter End, But to my surprise behind that awesome cover i found a just as awesomely written book; Stay. I gotta say, It was one heck of a great book. I love the way Mrs. Caletti wrote it in between the chapters, how it would switch from past to present.  I really liked Clara and the way she dealt with Christian, I love how she knew that enough was enough and unlike Alex she Broke off the relationship before it went to far. But then again Christian was really similar to Cole but also Nothing alike at the same time. Christian is obsessive and just like Cole he had a cold, jealous, cruel, and really mean side but at least he never hit Clara. Unlike Alex, Clara really tried to get away from Christian but she had something that Alex dint and that is the great support from her father. which brings me to my next point;
Clara's father. I really loved this men, he was great, and i loved the way he supported and helped his daughter in everything he could. He sometimes felt like he was more of a friend than a father which made him totally awesome. Now talking about men i love in this book, let us review the sexy, cute, sweet, and incredibly awesome Finn. Now he was someone who made the story totally worth reading. Nothing Like Cole or Christian, he was the perfect guy we all are looking for and I'm glad Clara found him. Once again i gotta say that Mrs. Caletti did a wonderful job writing this book, In one chapter we were leaning about the Obsessive relationship Clara had with Christian, while in the next chapter we were learning about the sweet relationship she was finding in Finn. A total Bitter-Sweet effect; just perfect.
At one point of the book i actually felt sorry for Christian, In the end whenever Clara was running away from him into the water, the way she described how he was looking at her from far and she thought that he was going to jump and killed himself, it really touched me, I imagine how he might had felt seeing the girl he loves running away from him like that (now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying she shouldn't had run) But then again all these little things is what made this book such a Master Piece.
This book gets a 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to anyone, really a great awesome book.
Both books were great books in their own way. I think we can all learn a lot from this two books, Love is not abuse, jealousy can be cute but not when it gets to certain point.  All my respect to Jennifer Brown and Deb Caletti for writing such great books.

Anime Freak.!

I'm Still Alive! Yeah i know I Haven't Post Anything In a While but yeah, Turns Out I'm Not Dead.. So this Post Goes to My past Life. Since as in right now I'm Still Rehabilitating from My Anime Addiction, which is not going well since i just finish watching 'Spice and Wolf ' :''[ But anyways I will introduce My Top Six Anime To You all :) *It May Contain Spoilers! `.` He-he..

6. Soul Eater.
Great Anime in many ways, I love How there's so much Loyalty Between all of them since they all depend on each other and they all Good Friends. Super Funny Too especially Death The Kid with his OCD they can all be so Hilarious. I specially like How Maka and Soul Live Together, you see i have this thing going on in my mind that even if the anime has nothing to do with romance i still like to think that there's something going on between main characters and since Soul and Maka Live together It just makes it easier for me to fantasized about it. Lol creepy I know but Oh Well.  anyways to conclude this I will have to say that if i wasn't such a romanticist this anime would probably had been in my top 3 animes he-he but still it is a great anime and once in a while i need some action to watch, the action involve in here was great i love the fighting -which is weird coming from me- TeeHee :)

5. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
I gotta say I'm like any other anime freak girl out ther, i don't usually go for shunnen i mostly watch or read shoujo since like i said before -I am a Romanticist but sometimes i just get tired out the girl running out on the guy just because he said something stupid. so that's when my inner boy comes out and i feel like watching some action, This anime is great, the story line was just amazing so touching it made me cry so many times and made me Laugh like crazy some other times. I Love everything about Ed He's so cool and he cares so much about his brother just amazing how just one anime can touch your Heart Like it touched mine, The Little Romance they add at the end just completed everything for a great anime, I love the way Ed propose to Winry ~ He's so Cute, I know I've watch a lot of animes before that i don't even remember anymore, but this one is one of those i that i wont forget about no matter what.

4. Skip Beat!
Well this is my first Shoujo in my list, I will say something about this anime, i mostly love how down to earth this anime is, a girl getting dump by this famous Jacka*s and she trying to get revenge on him is something i couldn't go on my life without watching, and i love just how close she becomes to the Ren, The person Shoo Hates the most. AMAZING artwork. she's so pretty even thought she has really low self stem and the way acting comes out so naturally for her just makes her Cooler than ever. I liked it so much that even after finishing watching it i had to Read the manga since it got me so Addicted to it. I'm still waiting for the romance, since it is taking quite long to come out but i know it will since Kyoko and Ren Seem to be so In love. Great Anime/ Manga anything any girl could ask for ! ♥

3.Ouran High School Host Club.
Well I think it was Kind of obvious that This anime would be somewhere in this list since it is a Amazing anime. The funniest anime i ever watched. While watching this sometimes i would even had a hard time breating since it made me laugh so much. I find it great how everyone - well almost everyone-  fell in love with Haruhi but they all where so oblivious that none of them realized it, at least on the anime, This is one of the anime that i had a strong desire to keep reading the manga to see how everything ended but i just couldn't bring my self to because i dint wanted to see them fighting for her. lol i know its kinda creepy how into it i got but i just couldn't help it. such a great anime. To be honest trough out the whole anime i was kinda hoping that Kyoya and Haruhi would fall in love, i mean Kyoya is just so Hot and he's always keeping his cool, and they just so perfect for each other since both of them are so smart and cool, they find logic for everything, But that's just impossible since it is kinda obvious that Tamaki is the main Guy and don't get me wrong, Tamaki is another great and Funny character and he's just so cute! but still i had always had this thing for guys that keep their cool, just like Kyoya... or Mori for the matter ~ but that's another story.. :) he-he

2. NANA
Nana deserves my number one in my list, that is if i hadn't watch Inuyacha, but this one it is one of my most favorite animes-
a masterpiece if you ask me, So touching, and it all begins with so many coincidences Two girls completely different meet on a train on their way to Tokyo both 21 years old, they both going to Tokyo in search of their dream and they both are name NANA, in the begging of every episode Hashi-Nana with the orange hair- stars it with a 'Hey Nana' telling a story as if they aren't together anymore, which makes us think that something may had happened to Nana, just like i was saying about Skip Beat this anime is really down to Earth which i love in animes, and it got me really hook up into it, i love the way they treat each other even thought they havent know each other for a long time they trust eachother so much. Nana worries so much about Hashi the way an older sister would worry about her little Sister, at some point you get to think that maybe Nana and Hashi are in love with each other since their friendship is so deep but everything that goes down in the anime just wont tell if they love each other in that kind of way. In few words- One of the greatest animes Ever. ♥

1. Inuyasha.
And finally my number one. Greatest Anime Ever, they don't make animes like this anymore just the right amount of Shoujo combined with just the right amount of Shunnen, anyone could love this anime since it is created for both girls and guys. i just love the way Inuyasha cares about Kagome, and how much Kagome loves Inuyasha, Its just so Cute,To tell the truth i was not satisfy with the end of the first anime, but when they got Inuyasha: The Final Act out i was so happy, it was just as funny and as great as the first anime, I think Inuyasha is the only anime that can make me cry when i character i hate Dies, since when Kykio Died I Was crying so hard, and i just love the way Kagome understands how Inuyahsa feels after Kikyos death, well she was his first love after all. The happy ending just completed my Life, i said it before and i will say it again... The Greatest Anime Ever! :)~ ♥
-Thanks for Reading, I Love Yall. ♥
